Arvind Kejriwal Criticises E20 Fuel Policy, Seeks Public Feedback

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday criticised the Centre’s E20 petrol policy, alleging that the government is using the country as an “experiment lab” by forcing people to use ethanol-blended fuel.

In a post on social media platform X, accompanied by a video message, Kejriwal claimed that E20 petrol is causing vehicles to break down, damaging engine parts and reducing mileage. He also alleged that there is growing public anger over the policy.

The former Delhi Chief Minister said he would write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the issue and invited people to send their suggestions and experiences through comments and direct messages so that they could be included in the letter.

The Centre, however, has maintained that ethanol blending is aimed at reducing India’s dependence on crude oil imports, cutting emissions and promoting cleaner fuel alternatives.
