New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday announced a nationwide signature campaign, alleging financial irregularities in the management and construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The announcement was made through a post on X.
In his post, Kejriwal alleged that the Ram Mandir witnessed a robbery, multi-crore land scams, large-scale theft of devotees’ donations and that there were allegations of a 40 per cent commission in the temple’s construction. He claimed that despite these allegations, no major accused had been investigated.
Kejriwal said citizens across the country would write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding that those found guilty be awarded the strictest punishment, including the death penalty. He added that the signature campaign would be launched nationwide by the Aam Aadmi Party beginning this Sunday.
As part of the campaign, the party will organise a Sunderkand recital followed by the launch of the signature drive at JMD Tent, Japanese Park, Sector 10, Rohini, Delhi, at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The allegations made by Kejriwal have not been independently verified, and there has been no immediate response from the Central government or the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust regarding his latest claims.
