At least three people were killed and five others were found missing after a boat carrying 14 persons capsized in the Yamuna river on Monday evening.
The incident happened when the ill-fated boat was going from Sangam to the Mankameshwar temple.
According to an official, six people were rescued safely and are being treated in the hospital.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had condoled the loss of lives in the incident and directed officials to ensure that proper treatment is given to those injured.
Moreover, he had asked officials to rope in NDRF and SDRF teams to locate the missing persons.
