Delhi’s deputy chief minister and education minister Manish Sisodia on Wednesday announced that all government and private schools in Delhi will remain closed until next order amid COVID-19 situation in Delhi.
Addressing a press conference today, Sisodia said that he received a lot of suggestions and came to the conclusion that it is not safe to reopen schools in Delhi yet, he also said that the parents are also against the reopening of schools in view of COVID-19 pandemic.
Sisodia further said that the Delhi Government has decided to increase 1330 seats in colleges that are under IP University.
Delhi has 27,873 total active cases of COVID-19 as of date. While 3,30,112 patients have recovered from the disease in Delhi, 6,356 have died so far.
