Actor Chiranjeevi Konidela on Monday said that he has tested positive for coronavirus.
The megastar who took to Twitter to share the news, had met Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao only two days ago.
The Telugu superstar is asymptomatic and in home-quarantine.
He had undergone a mandatory coronavirus test before restarting the shoot of Acharya, however, he, unfortunately, tested COVID positive.
The actor-turned politician also requested all those who came in his contact in the last five days to get themselves tested.
“Took a test for COVID before resuming ‘Acharya’ shoot as a protocol and unfortunately tested positive. I am currently asymptomatic & quarantining myself at home,” Chiranjeevi said in a statement.
“Request all those who met me in the last 5 few days to also undergo covid tests. Will update you on my recovery soon,” he added.
