Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) on Thursday suspended Delhi University Student Union president (DUSU) Ankiv Baisoya from its membership until the inquiry over his fake degree is over.
According to the reports, ABVP has asked Baisoya to resign from his post and also suspended him from all the responsibilities of the organisation till the inquiry is over. The organisation said the decision was taken to keep the “genuineness” of Delhi University Students Union.
The ABVP also urged Delhi University to end its inquiry against Baisoya at the earliest.
Baisoya was elected as DUSU president in September. Days later, National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) had alleged that the newly election DUSU president submitted fake degree for admission.
The Delhi High Court on Monday gave Delhi university more time till November 20 to conclude its probe and submit its report.
