New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh on Saturday joined the ongoing CJP protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, extending support to demonstrators demanding accountability in the education system and action over alleged examination irregularities.
Addressing the gathering, Sanjay Singh backed the protesters’ demands and urged the Centre to respond to the concerns being raised by students and youth. He said transparency and accountability in the education system were essential and expressed solidarity with those participating in the agitation.
On July 4, the CJP protest entered its 15th day, while climate activist Sonam Wangchuk’s indefinite hunger strike entered its seventh day. Wangchuk has been fasting at Jantar Mantar in support of the movement, with supporters expressing growing concern over his health as the protest continues.
The protest, led by CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke, is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in national examinations. In recent days, the movement has received support from several political leaders and organisations, adding momentum to the agitation.
