At least five people died and several hospitalised after consuming liquor in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr.
After the incident, three police personnel including the station incharge were suspended.
“Three police personnel including Station Incharge suspended,” said SSP Bulandshahr.
Speaking to the reporters, Ravindra Kumar, District Magistrate Bulandshahr said, “Postmortem is being done. Our priority is to treat the ones who are in the hospital and 16 people are undergoing dialysis. Raids are being conducted at liquor shops.”
“The liquor owner was identified as Kuldeep who is reportedly missing from the incident,” he said.
He further said those who are responsible will be punished.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered strict action against the culprits.
