Desire to earn money compelled five Haryana youths to spread terrorism on the directions by terrorist groups functioning outside the country including from Pakistan, Canada and Australia, CIA and Detective Staff of Haryana police on a clue arrested four youths at Sonepat identified as Sagar alias Binny the mastermind of racket, Surinder alias Sonu both having criminal background, Sunil alias Pehlwan Jatin alias Rajesh on February 19, 2022 and during sight days police remand named Tarun alias Tarunjeet their another companion who was also arrested on March 1, 2022 by Sonepat police.
Five arrested by the police admitted working on the tips of Khalistani terrorists and getting handsome amount either in their bank accounts or cash through ‘Hawala’ admitting working on the tips of terrorists to earn money.
Investigation during eight days police remand revealed that the prime accuse Sagar alias Binny son of a truck driver, only brother of two sisters studied up to class X was belonging to financially weak family and joined hands with terrorist group to start his own transport business and earn money for marriage of his sisters. Sunil alias Pehlwan the only brother of three sisters also belonging to poor family whose father was working in a private firm hardly earning both ends meal for the family and admitted to join terrorist group in order to earn money and become rich.
Jatin alias Rajesh too studied up to class X was also hailing from a family below poverty line but was not having any criminal background and desire to earn money forced him to adopt terrorism as his profession. Surinder alias Sonu studied up to class XII was having a criminal record since childhood having more than a dozen criminal cases including a jail break case registered against him. Aiming to earn handsome money for the family as well as assurance to settle abroad forced him to join hands with terrorist group.
Tarun alias Tarunjeet a resident of village Juan in Sonepat district was running a ‘Atal Sewa Centre’ in his village came in contact with the prime accuse Sagar and helped him in getting fake ‘Aadhar Cards’ at Chandigarh and Fatehabad addresses and also prepared a fake driving license for him, too, joined the racket was arrested by the police.
Information reveals, police also recovered a AK-47 rifle, five imported pistols, a country made pistol and huge quantity of cartridges from four arrested youths on February 19 this year, which were supplied to Sagar and Sunil by Gopi a resident of Kharar in Punjab in a lonely place at village Dinapur near Kharar as admitted by both to spread terrorism. During eight days police remand, alleged accused admitted that supply of large number of arms and ammunition was to be supplied to them by Gopi on February 20, 2022 to spread terrorism but they were arrested by the police on February 19, 2022 prior to supply.
Inspector Vijender Singh of CIA Staff told that Gopi arrested by the police will be brought from Punjab by Haryana police on production warrants. He said Khalistan supported terrorists are now involved in target killing and spread terrorism through anti-social elements in adjoining states Haryana, Himachal, Rajasthan and Western U.P. During police remand Sagar also admitted shot dead a former village Sarpanch at Udhampur Kalan on December 6, 2021 with a weapon supplied by Gopi as directed by terrorists from Pakistan.
