At least 15 migrant workers were run over by goods train in Maharashtra’s Aurangabad on Friday morning while they were trying to return to their homes in Madhya Pradesh.
As per the preliminary information. the labourers were sleeping on the tracks when the mishap took place.
However, several states have been running “Shramik” special trains for migrants who need to return home, numerous have started walking back on their own.
The labourers, who had been walking along the railway tracks fell asleep due to exhaustion, sources said. They were run over by the train early in the morning.
