Sports Events 365 signs season ticket agreement with AS Roma

Sports Events 365, the international provider of tickets to sports and music events worldwide, has signed season ticket agreement with AS Roma. The agreement with AS Roma follows a recent season ticket agreement with English Premier League champions Manchester City and a season ticket agreement for the 2018/2019 season with Atletico Madrid, winner of the 2018 UEFA Super Cup. All three teams are among the last 16 teams competing in the Champions League for Europe’s most prestigious cup.

The agreements grant Sports Events 365 options for supplying tickets to individuals but more importantly to groups interested in attending games of the two teams. The agreement with Manchester City is applicable for the second half of the current season and for the following two seasons, while the agreement with AS Roma is applicable for one season.

“Manchester City, AS Roma and Atletico Madrid are among the best teams in Europe and their matches have attracted tremendous visitor interest from outside the UK, Italy and Spain,” said Sefi Donner, founder and CEO of Sports Events 365. He predicted that the agreement with AS Roma alone will bring in revenues of around $500,000 in the coming year.

Thousands of visitors are expected to combine a visit to Rome with a home match of one of Italy’s most exciting teams. The agreement will enable Sports Events 365 to offer a wide variety of options including accommodating groups that want to sit together.

Sports Events 365 is planning to showcase B2B initiatives at the upcoming ITB conference in Berlin next week, on March 6-10. Germany is already one of the company’s most important markets. Sports Events 365 sells thousands of tickets to German sports fans travelling abroad to attend games. England and Spain remain the most popular destinations with Germans showing a preference for matches of Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona. The NBA and professional tennis are also popular with German sports fans.

Sports Events 365 is hoping to repeat its success at the recent Travel Technology Europe (TTE) conference held in London on February 20-21 where two of the company’s senior managers gave presentations on transforming its business model from B2C to B2B and developing new tools for the B2B market. The latter focused on ways the tourism industry can take advantage of various events such as sporting events.

Some 200 people visited the Sports Events 365 booth at the TTE conference including representatives from leading airlines, the big GDS companies, wholesale travel companies and online travel companies. There was a lot of interest in Sports Events 365’s database, which was the only sporting and music events database presented at the conference, according to the company.
