Naxals reportedly kidnapped a class 12 student from Sukma District of Chhattisgarh on October 3. The student was kidnapped while he was traveling from Bhejji to Konta.

According to reports, police said a search operation has been launched to trace the kidnapped student.

The search operation is still underway.

Earlier on October 3, the Chhattisgarh Police arrested a Naxal and recovered bodies of three others who were reportedly killed in an encounter with security forces in dense forests.

Abhishek Meena, Sukma Superintendent of Police, reportedly said that the gun battle took place in the forest of Muler village when a team of the District Reserve Guard was out on an anti-Naxal operation.

Police further added that four country-made bombs and a rifle were recovered from the spot.
