Maharashtra: Ajit Pawar has back-stabbed, says Sanjay Raut

Hours after Devendra Fadnavis was sworn in as Maharashtra Chief Minister with NCP’s Ajit Pawar as his deputy, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut on Saturday said Ajit Pawar had stabbed the Sena in the back by joining hands with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to form the government in the state.

Raut said the state would never forgive Ajit Pawar for this act of his.

NCP chief Sharad Pawar has claimed that Ajit Pawar’s move was his “personal decision” and not that of the NCP.

On Saturday morning, Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar were administered the oath of office as CM and Deputy CM by Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshiyari.
