JNU violence: FIR against JNUSU president Aishe Ghosh, 19 others

The Delhi Police has filed an FIR against Jawaharlal Nehru University Students’ Union (JNUSU) leader Aishe Ghosh and 19 others for allegedly attacking security guards and destroying the server room of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on January 4, a day before masked goons armed with rods and hammers attacked students and teachers on campus.

The police registered the case on the complaint of the JNU administration.

Ghosh was injured in the mob attack that took place on Sunday evening. She was hit on her head.

Many students and faculty members were also hurt in the incident.

The attack on JNU students prompted nationwide protests as thousands of students across the country rose in protest against the violence.
