Jharkhand Police arrest 5 naxals in Latehar, weapons, mobile phones seized

Five Naxals associated with People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) were arrested in Jharkhand’s Latehar District on August 2 for conspiring to set trucks in the area on fire and murdering the truck drivers.

Police seized several pistols, mobile phones, cash, weapons, posters from them.

“We arrested five naxals associated with the terrorist outfit PLFI and they are accused of vandalism, firing, and looting. Kargil Yadav is their head and they work at his commands,” Prashant Anand, Superintendent of Police, Latehar said.

PLFI rebels were previously wanted in several cases, including vandalism.
