Jammu and Kashmir: Amarnath Yatra resumes

Amarnath yatra resumed on Tuesday, with a small batch of 454 pilgrims left Jammu for Kashmir valley after being suspended for two days due to security reasons following the protests by separatist leaders against the removal of Article 35A.

According to police, Amarnath pilgrims left in groups of 11 vehicles from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas for Baltal and Pahalgam base camps.

Over 2.70 lakh pilgrims this year have performed Amarnath Yatra.

The Amarnath Yatra which started on June 28 will conclude on August 26.
