Iceland’s Foreign Minister arrives in India for 8-day visit

Iceland’s Foreign Minister Gudlaugur Thor Thordarson on December 7 has arrived in India for an eight-day visit.

According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Thordarson is scheduled to address the Iceland-India Business Seminar at The Oberoi hotel in the city, later in the day.

Later today he will be meeting with R.K. Singh Hon’ble MoS (IC) for Power & NRE and K.J. Alphons, Hon’ble MoS(IC) for Tourism.

Foreign Minister Thordarson on December 8 will hold talks over bilateral issues with Indian counterpart External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj at the Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan.

The Icelandic foreign minister on December 9 would also visit Agra and on December 10 he would pay a visit to Jaipur to attend an event.

On the morning of December 14, the Icelandic Foreign Minister will leave for Reykjavik.
