Health Ministry: India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage surpasses 160 crore

The Union Health Ministry announced India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage exceeds 160.43 crore on Thursday. With the administration of more than 70 lakh vaccine doses (70, 49,779) in the last 24 hours.

As per the government data 3,47,254 new cases reported in the last 24 hours and recovery rate currently at 93.50 percent.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, “The world’s largest vaccination drive is touching new heights under PM Narendra Modi ji’s leadership. Total Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in India cross the 160 mark. Keep following Covid appropriate behavior even after getting vaccinated.”

Consequently, 9,692 total Omicron cases detected so far; an increase of 4.36 percent since yesterday. India’s active caseload currently stands at 20,18,825 and weekly positivity rate is presently at 16.56 percent.
