Global coronavirus cases cross 3.5 million

Global COVID-19 cases surpassed 3.5 million on Monday, with deaths nearing 2,50,000.

The United States has registered highest number of COVID-19 cases – more than 1.1 million and over 67,000 deaths.

Spain has the second highest number of COVID-19 cases followed by Italy, UK, France, Germany and Russia.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday said he was confident that a vaccine to fight to COVID-19 would be developed by the end of year.

The virus which was first originated in China’s Wuhan has spread to at least 185 countries.
