Data leak: Rahul's fresh attack on PM Modi over NaMo app

Rahul GandhiIn a series of tweets published on his official Twitter handle, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on March 26 alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was supplying data of Indians (who had signed up for his NAMO app) to American companies.
“Modi’s NaMo App secretly records audio, video, contacts of your friends & family and even tracks your location via GPS. He’s the Big Boss who likes to spy on Indians. Now he wants data on our children. 13 lakh NCC cadets are being forced to download the APP, said Rahul Gandhi in his latest tweet.

Since law minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, at a press conference, alleged that the Congress had engaged controversial data-mining firm Cambridge Analytica, Rahul has been constantly tweeting against the BJP.
NAMOEarlier on March 25, while tagging a web report which talked about NaMo app and stated that a French cyber expert has claimed that personal data of subscribers to “Namo app” was automatically sent to a third-party domain without consent, Rahul tweeted, “Hi! My name is Narendra Modi. I am India’s Prime Minister. When you sign up for my official App, I give all your data to my friends in American companies. Ps. Thanks mainstream media, you’re doing a great job of burying this critical story, as always.”Hi! My name is Narendra Modi. I am India’s Prime Minister. When you sign up for my official App, I give all your data to my friends in American companies.

BJP has also countered Rahul Gandhi’s twitter jibe and said that the Congress President has “zero knowledge” of technology. The ruling party also accused the Congress of taking help of data-mining firm Cambridge Analytica for electoral contests.
