Coronavirus outbreak: No International passenger flights in India for a week

No international commercial passenger aircraft will be allowed to land in India from March 22 to March 29, the government announced on Thursday.

In a statement issued, the government said no commercial passenger aircraft will be allowed to land in India from March 22 for one week.

All children below 10 have been asked to stay at home and not to venture out and citizens above 65(except for public representatives, government servants and medical professionals) are instructed to remain at home.

“States are being requested to enforce work from home for private sector employees except for those working in emergency/essential services,” the statement read.

Railways and Civil Aviation Ministry have been asked to suspend all concessional travel except for students, patients and disabled people.

To reduce crowding, all group B and C central government employees have been asked to attend office on alternate weeks, with staggered timings.
