2 BSF Jawans injured in IED blast in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker District

Two security personnel of Border Security Force (BSF) belonging to 35 battalion were injured on November 2 in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast during a demining operation in Chhattisgarh’s Kanker District of Chhattisgarh.

DM Awasthi, Special Director General of Anti-Naxal Operations, said, “Two security personnel were injured in an IED blast during a demining operation in the Kanker District.”

The blast occurred in the forest of Koyalibeda police station area when a team of BSF was out on an ‘area domination’ operation.

Soon after the blast, reinforcement was rushed to the spot and the injured were shifted to a local hospital.

 The search operation in the area is still underway.
